    Mijn antwoord van Barry is verre van wat Nico voor elkaar gekregen heeft maar ook een selectie hiervan wil ik jullie niet onthouden.

    5 miljoen is dus zeg maar een zekerheidje, hij houdt nu de mogelijkheid voor een upgrade eind Oktober open ipv een down grade. Van 4,3 naar 5,0 is slechts 16% omzet stijging. Ik vermoed dat 2005 het jaar is dat we al het "zeer" moeten slikken, maar hoop dat de upgrade dit verre van goed zal maken.

    Sopheon Offers Industry-Wide Portal for RFID

    Sopheon, the international software and services company, and Siemens Business Services has introduced a Siemens Compliance Direct Service jointly supported by Airbus and Boeing that will provide an industry-wide internet portal to selected reference sources for the implementation of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in commercial airplanes. The solution is built around Sopheon's Compliance Monitor software, a component of the Sopheon Accolade product life cycle management (PLM) suite. Airbus and Boeing are collaborating to introduce this Web-based service into the aviation industry as a way of promoting standardization around RFID use.

    The Sopheon solution, called “Antenna,” is expected to streamline and accelerate product development, ordering, procurement and manufacturing processes throughout the commercial aviation industry. It provides a medium for Airbus and Boeing to publish their own RFID standardized requirements to supplier organizations. The initiative follows successful piloting of the Sopheon and Siemens service at Airbus.

    Industry analysts have forecasted that RFID may become the major technology enabler for the transportation sector in the next decade. Adopted by the aviation industry, the technology has been linked to an ability to ensure higher levels of safety, airworthiness and operational efficiencies for commercial airplanes. Standardization has been identified as a critical factor in encouraging widespread adoption of RFID technology.

    The Sopheon Antenna service is a subscription-based offering that replaces what is often a costly and time-intensive manual process for manufacturing companies and their customers. The solution is built around Sopheon's Compliance Monitor software, a component of the Sopheon Accolade product life cycle management (PLM) suite. The technology enables location, capture, management and analysis of critical data from a variety of sources, including professional journals, news publications, Web sites, and internal libraries arranged.
    By making relevant collections of RFID standards, operating procedures, best practices and other data readily available to engineering and procurement teams, Antenna will help to ensure proactive compliance.

    Het spijt me Jan, ik heb helaas geen abonnement. Maar goed, de aanhef is al positief genoeg. Ik vind het leuk om op diverse zoekmachines combinaties met Sopheon naar voren te halen en dan komen soms verrassende zaken naar boven.

    het "nieuwe" Sopheon heeft zo een beetje gedurende het jaar 1993 enige vorm gekregen en de berichten die de door mij zeer geachte actieve forumleden bijelkaar zijn/worden gezocht wijzen toch een goede, positieve kant op. Dat jij er nu blijkbaar geen geduld meer voor kunt opbrengen is dan jouw zaak, maar stelling nemen als "Jaar in jaar uit veelbelovend" is op dit moment naar mijn beleving te negatief en overdreven. "Lang leve alle voorbodes", daar is geen speld tussen te krijgen, want die gaan op niet al te lange termijn wel degelijk uitkomen. Het langste wachten ligt achter ons.....
