   Geneva Motor Show, Geneva - Switzerland, 01 March 2016 – TomTom (TOM2) today announces the launch of PSA Peugeot Citroen’s new global infotainment platform, which is built on the full suite of TomTom products. This platform includes automotive-grade digital maps, TomTom’s award winning navigation software “NavKit” and its market leading live Traffic service.
   
   This new system will be first available on the new DS5 as “DS Connect Nav”, then on the Citroen Space Tourer and the Peugeot Traveller in the first quarter of 2016. Additional models from all three brands will be rolled out later in the year on a global scale*. PSA customers will not only enjoy state of the art navigation but also total peace of mind, as lifetime map updates will be included in the vehicle price while a bundle of 5 real-time services will be free for the first 3 years**.

   dan gaan de geld-persen verder aan en volgt verruiming , zo simpel is het
   
   Geld verdampt in alle valuta's, de enige vorm van waarde is "bezit"
   
   elke druk op de aandelen markten heeft te maken met een verschuiving aan investeringen van A naar B, maar geld parkeren gaat geld kosten "tolgeld"
   
   het is dus zaak de flow van het geld te volgen, voor nu is dat uit emerging naar euroland, US is neutraal.
   er valt veel op te schrijven om juist nu te nemen wat niemand wil en dadelijk gevraagd is en dat zijn de grondstoffen, deze kruipen allen op een spectaculaire manier uit hun overkill zone, zelden meegemaakt.
   je kan je natuurlijk ook de hele dag blindstaren op TT en denken waar staan die over 10 jaar, nou Buffett, de man verdiende voor zijn fonds verleden jaar 25 miljard, dus niet bepaald een cowboy die zomaar eens voorbij komt fietsen, heeft zo zijn eigen dunk over selfdriving cars en de groei daarvan.

    TomTom heeft een overeenkomst gesloten met het Duitse Volkswagen voor het leveren van kaarten voor de Volkswagen Up!. Dit meldde het Nederlandse navigatiebedrijf dinsdag voorbeurs zonder financiële details vrij te geven.
    
    Volkswagen zal de Up! vanaf juni dit jaar gaan uitrusten met ingebouwde navigatiesystemen op basis van de kaarten van TomTom. De Duitse fabrikant ging vorig jaar voor het eerst met TomTom in zee, voor de uitrol in Noord-Amerika van navigatie in onder meer de types Jetta, Passat en Beetle.
    
    Verder kondigde TomTom de lancering van een nieuw infotainment platform voor PSA Peugeot Citroen aan, dat word gevoed met producten van TomTom.
    
    Het aandeel TomTom sloot maandag op een groen Damrak 0,6 procent hoger op 8,29 euro.

    Je vraagt je dan af: zou "de markt" dit al weten? Voor mij is het niet echt "nieuws". De VW UP! is natuurlijk een volume model, maar de gekozen oplossing oogt op het eerste gezicht "knullig". Bij Peugeot is het wachten nog op de echte volume modellen.
    
    Voor die UP! omzet geldt natuurlijk wel dat het hoog marge omzet is. Wie van onze handige speurders kan nog wat verdere invulling geven aan de volgende formule?

    Gezien de huidige lage koers is het voor sommigen nog steeds "nieuws" dat TT gewoon op weg is naar minimaal 40% marketshare. Dit soort nieuws bevestigt toch dat die 40% gewoon in de kaarten staat.

    terug naar vroeger! Geen ingebouwde navigatie meer maar een pnd op je dashboard. De goeie ouwe pnd wordt alleen vervangen door de smartphone, zoals de smartphone meer attributen (betaalpas, sleutels?) gaat vervangen de komende tijd.
    Ben benieuwd of de koers van TT ook Up gaat, wellicht eerder op het nieuws van Peugeot.

    VW zal niet alles op HERE willen zetten en gunt TT het minst aansprekende model, maar alle winst is meegenomen.

    Nieuw is dat Peugeot nu ook echt gaat komen, meerdere introducties dit jaar. Dat lifetime maps en 5 jaar traffic door de fabrikant is afgekocht voor de klant. Dus je bent niet afhankelijk van bestelling door eindgebruiker. Deal is incl. China.
    
    Significant aan VW UP! vind ik dat TT op deze manier tegen minimale kosten (externe developer) de entry-level markt bedient, HERE en Garmin er uit gaan. En dat die developer ook TT navkit software gebruikt. Dat kunnen ze elders herhalen.
    
    Vorig jaar had TomTom 2 persberichten op persdag 1 en 2 berichten op persdag 2. Mijn gevoel zegt dat we nog niet alles gehad hebben. Sowieso nog Hyundai.
