   Venturing
   Over the past decade, we have invested
   in start-up companies to help accelerate
   development and commercial viability of
   certain technologies. To date, we have
   invested around $300 million in over 40
   venture start-ups and funds, which has
   enabled a further $2 billion in external equity
   investments and grants from other sources.
   In 2016, we deployed seven technologies
   within our own assets.
   Around half of our venturing investments focus
   on low carbon solutions. For instance, Tricoya
   Technologies uses a process that alters the
   chemical structure of wood chips. This creates
   a more durable building material with increased
   thermal insulation and the ability to repel water.
   It also avoids carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions
   when used as a substitute for non-wood based
   building products.
   Meanwhile, Solidia’s technology has the
   potential to reduce the carbon footprint of
   concrete production between 30-70%. And,
   Lightning Hybrids has developed a hydraulic
   hybrid system for delivery trucks that, combined
   with Castrol hydraulic fluids, is designed to
   save fuel and reduce nitrogen oxide emissions.

   ik verwacht zelf dat ze door hun grotere capaciteit een vogelvlucht gaan maken. de houtwereld is overtuigd van de kwaliteit en de voordelen. de co2 reductie zal steeds dringender worden. de economie is aangetrokken.
   architecten zijn gek op het hout van Accsys.
   2 nieuwe fabrieken in aanbouw. CBM die hopelijk ook binnenkort met een mooi plan komt.
   de cijfers komen eraan, hieruit zal naar mijn verwachting meer duidelijk worden.
   investeren in groei vind ik niet erg, laat maar komen

   Accsys mag de komende 5 jaar eerst aanloopverliezen incasseren op z'n nieuwe fabrieken en daarna wordt de concurrentie zo hevig dat de prijzen omlaag moeten.....
   
   Mooi hout, maar een oerslechte belegging.

   Coillte, Accsys Technologies and BP will cooperate to develop Tricoya wood chip manufacturing plant in the UK

   Coillte announced an innovative partnership deal that will see Coillte’s MEDITE SMARTPLY division collaborate with Accsys Technologies and BP to develop the world’s first Tricoya wood chip manufacturing plant in Hull, UK.
   The EUR 68 million project is expected to transform wood technology and allow the newly created consortium to commercialise the production of acetylated woodchip.
   Breakthrough proprietary technology will be used to produce wood chips that are virtually unaffected when exposed to exterior or harsh interior environments. These wood chips will be used to produce MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME (MTE) at Coillte’s MDF manufacturing plant (Medite) in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary in Ireland. Due to its unique innovative characteristics, MTE can be used in applications and environments never before deemed possible for this industry, including exterior joinery, doors, windows, façade and cladding.
   Fergal Leamy, Chief Executive, Coillte, commented:
   “We are delighted to be working with such high-quality international companies in this very exciting partnership. This innovation in wood technology is a potential game changer for wood product sales. Quite simply, we will now be able to sell our MDF products for outdoor use as well as for their traditional indoor uses, significantly increasing the production and sales of MEDITE TRICOYA EXTREME products in existing and new markets.”
   The investment is seen as a strong strategic fit for the Coillte business with MEDITE SMARTPLY’s strategic vision to become the leading supplier of innovative, market led MDF and OSB products through product and brand differentiation, while maximising the value of Coillte’s overall fibre basket.
   Earlier, the European Investment Bank provided EUR 90 million long-term loan to Coillte for the forestry related investment.

   Accsys is progressing with the expansion of its Accoya® Arnhem plant in the Netherlands. According to the announcement, the company expects completion of the fully funded first stage of expansion to 60,000 m3 of annual capacity by the end of 2017.
   
   Earlier Accsys announced an agreement to build, operate and finance the world’s first Tricoya® wood chip manufacturing plant in Hull, the UK.

   BP, Accsys Technologies, and fiberboard maker Medite are forming Tricoya Ventures, which will build a $72 million acetylated wood-chip plant near BP’s Hull, England, facility. BP will supply the plant with acetic anhydride needed for the wood acetylation process, which was developed by Accsys. Tricoya acetylated wood chips will be used to make fiberboard and particleboard panels for construction. Acetylated wood is dimensionally stable and resistant to moisture. Accsys expects to complete a 50% expansion . . .

    Solvay and Accsys enhance their collaboration to accelerate marketing, sales
    and manufacturing of Accoya®
    Accsys, the chemical technology group, focused on the acetylation of wood, today is pleased to
    announce details of a new agreement with Solvay Acetow Gmbh (“Solvay”), to refine the relationship
    between the two parties for the licensing, marketing and manufacturing of Accoya®. This new
    agreement provides the framework and funding for a significant increase in the manufacturing
    capacity in Arnhem.
    Solvay will purchase a minimum 76,000 cubic metres of Accoya from the Arnhem plant over the
    period from 2016 to 2020 (the “offtake commitment”) and as a result of the increased manufacturing
    capacity in Arnhem and consequent greater sales capacity, under the new agreement Solvay will
    review the optimal timing to construct its 63,000 cubic metres Accoya manufacturing plant.
    The enhanced relationship with Solvay will benefit both parties, with the increased manufacturing
    capacity and resulting sales expected to be achieved for Accoya in a faster timescale than would
    otherwise have been possible.
    Accsys will double the existing manufacturing capacity at its Arnhem site in stages, up to 80,000 cubic
    metres per annum from 40,000 cubic metres. The initial incremental 20,000 cubic metres capacity is
    expected to come on stream in mid-2017.
    The licence agreement covering Europe has been amended to provide increased royalties to Accsys
    and the return to Accsys of the selling rights for 20 European countries.

    Een vraag ivm de aankomende claimemissie en degiro. Ze staan wel op mijn rekening dus dan zou je verwachten dat degiro de mogelijkheid bied om hier op in te gaan. Een simpele vraag -hoe moet ik de keuze maken- is bij de helpdesk van degiro (nog) niet beantwoordt. Is deze keuzemogelijkheid er al of is er een reden waarom dit niet geboden wordt.

    het is inderdaad oud nieuws, met een verschil dat het nieuws 1 op 1 te maken heeft met de uitbreiding van de fabriek in arnhem. de fabriek in arnhem gaat medio 2017 opgeleverd worden. en de minimale afname is een feit.
    nieuws is zowieso altijd achterhaald. ik zei niet dat het nieuws was, dat is echt jou interpretatie en aanname. het is info, en de info is waar. dus waar jij vandaan haalt dat het fake is, is mij een raadsel?

    Accsys bereidt zich voor op nieuwe groeifase
    Ambitieuze plannen
    Na de enorme aanloopverliezen sinds de oprichting is de kans groot dat het bedrijf in het lopende boekjaar ook het nettoresultaat met zwarte cijfers zal schrijven. Van groot belang is dat het minder afhankelijk is van externe financiering, nu de operationele cashflow positief is. Om de hoge uitbreidingsinvesteringen te financieren, is het bedrijf echter afhankelijk van partners. Er zijn twee belangrijke ontwikkelingen die de volgende groeifase inluiden. Allereerst gaat Accsys de productiecapaciteit in Arnhem in fases verdubbelen. De eerste stap behelst een uitbreiding met 50% naar 60.000m3 per medio 2017. Solvay zal in de periode 2016-2020 minstens 76.000m3 afnemen, goed voor een totale omzet van circa €100 mln, en verstrekt ook een lening om de expansie te financieren. Uiteindelijk wil Solvay afhankelijk van de vraag in licentie zijn eigen Accoya-fabriek bouwen.
