    Vandaag staat op de agenda evacuatie burgers uit vijf steden. Rusland heeft er groot belang bij , dat burgers een veilig heenkomen zoeken. Ze gaan echt niet schieten op evacuees. Eerder Oekrainers want wat overblijft in steden hebben besloten te vechten en worden door Rusland niet meer gezien als burgers maar militanten.
    Het ligt niet voor de hand , dat Rusland Kiev verandert in een Grozny of Berlijn(1945). Eerder een omsingeling(afsluiten).

    Zojuist Frans Timmermans op Bloomberg. Hij zei dat de EU al 20 jaar lang het gevaar van Rusland zag. En de EU is hard bezig om sinds de Russische invasie van de Oekraine energie onafhankelijk te maken van Rusland. Vorig jaar september lanceerde hij nog de energietransitie voor de EU.     De situatie in de door Russische troepen ingenomen kerncentrale van Tsjernobyl in Oekraïne verslechtert, waarschuwt het internationale Atoomenergieagentschap (IAEA). IAEA-topman Rafael Gross zegt 'zeer bezorgd' te zijn over de stress waaronder het personeel van de kerncentrale verkeert en 'mogelijke risico's voor de nucleaire veiligheid'.
    
    Volgens het IAEA werken ongeveer 210 technici en veiligheidsmedewerkers al bijna twee weken onafgebroken in de kerncentrale, omdat er sinds de Russische overname van de faciliteit geen ploegwissel meer mogelijk zou zijn. De medewerkers hebben water en voedsel, maar hun situatie verslechtert. Het personeel heeft de IAEA gevraagd om met internationale steun een plan op te stellen voor vervanging van het huidige personeel en een roulatierooster.
    
    Sinds de in 1986 ontplofte kerncentrale in handen viel van Russische troepen is deze steeds meer van de buitenwereld afgesneden. Het IAEA zegt momenteel alleen per e-mail met de kerncentrale te kunnen communiceren. De kerncentrale in Tsjernobyl is niet meer operationeel maar kan nog altijd radioactieve straling lekken.

    Crypto platform blocks thousands of Russia-linked wallets
    
    Crypto-currency trading platform Coinbase has blocked 25,000 wallet addresses related to Russia.
    
    The platform said the addresses were related to Russian individuals or entities it believed to have engaged in illicit activity.
    
    The addresses were blocked over fears crypto-currency could be used to evade sanctions.
    
    Coinbase's chief legal officer, Paul Grewal, made the announcement on a company blog.
    
    He outlined how the crypto exchange was complying with new rules imposed because of the Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
    
    It means no access for sanctioned individuals and includes "sophisticated blockchain analytics" to identify accounts indirectly linked to banned users.
