    M.i. komen binnenkort ook veranderingen in US. Met de recente Apple-Samsung rechtszaak en vooral door de introductie van Lumina-W8 toestellen begin september!

    Hopelijk is € 2,24 wel de bodem voor deze week,had namelijk iets te lang gewacht met verkopen, daardoor verlies. Nu ben ik ingestapt bij € 2,31, hopelijk kunnen we het verlies van de afgelopen dagen weer goedmaken. Ik had er veel vertrouwen in, maar kijk nu toch een beetje met een scheef oog ernaar.

    Hoe zit dat eigenlijk als je straks een WP8 koop en je laptop nog op Windows7 draait? Kunnen laptop en phone dan met elkaar communiceren? Iemand?

    Natuurlijk, Microsoft zorgt altijd heel goed voor dat soort compatibiliteit. Ik sta zelf te popelen om een Windows Phone 8 van Nokia te kopen, gaat mijn eerste smartphone worden. Als besturingssyteem voor mijn pc kijk ik nog even de kat uit de boom maar als mobiel OS lijkt het mij ideaal.

    Ik ben afgelopen vrijdag ingestapt op 2,50. Ik zat toen al een aantal dagen de brievenbus in de gaten te houden voor mijn Binck brief met gebruikersnaam en wachtwoord dus ik baalde dat Nokia ondertussen al zo aan het stijgen was.

    Ik snapte de maandag stijging vanwege de uitslag van de rechtzaak tussen Samsung en Apple al vond ik de tussentijdse koers van +11% op een gegeven moment wel erg overdreven. Halverwege de dag dempte de winst naar 7% dat had ik ook wel verwacht als normalisatie.
    Dinsdag, ik verwachte vanwege de plotselinge stijging opnieuw een stijging omdat anderen (in mijn ogen) ook zouden willen instappen maar er kwam een flinke daling.
    Vandaag, ik verwachte normalisatie wederom rond de 2,50. De koers van voor de rechtzaak maar nee: het aandeel kelderde. Wat heb ik gemist? Wat is er gebeurt? Ik snap dat de beurs over sentiment gaat maar waar kwam dit gebrek aan vertrouwen vandaan?

    Als ik er dieper over nadenk is het geen slechte zaak dat. Samsung ook W8 phones zal verkopen. Het derde ecosysteem zal er hoe dan ook veel vlugger komen zo. Alle critici die denken dat Nokia & Microsoft er niet in zullen slagen zullen het nu toch anders moeten bekijken, zeker als je dan ook nog eens bekijkt dat samsung die rechtszaak heeft verloren met het 2e ecosysteem met Android/google.

    Ik zie het ook niet als negatief. Bovendien is het zo dat de Samsung WP8 phone pas aan het einde van dit jaar in de winkels ligt. Nokia is nog steeds de eerste volgens mij.

    Wat mij het meest dwars zit is dat verhaal dat Louis gepost heeft, over die shorters....Ik hoop dat ze goed tegen hun tanden krijgen :)

    Somebody Really Doesn't Like Nokia

    One of the mobile market's biggest surprises this summer is that shares of Nokia (NYSE: NOK ) have roughly doubled since bottoming out at $1.63 last month.

    Really. The beleaguered handset maker was trading as high as $3.39 on Monday.

    However, Bernstein Research analyst Pierre Ferragu is crashing the party, arguing that now may be the ideal time to go short the Finnish mobile icon. Reiterating his firm's "underperform" rating and $3.25 price target, Ferragu isn't upbeat on the company's partnership with Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT ) on the Lumia line of smartphones powered by Windows Phone.

    "Given the strength of Android and Apple today in consumers' minds and the scale of both ecosystems, it is unrealistic to believe anything short of a true product revolution, like the iPhone was in its time, could instill life into an alternative platform," he writes -- as retold by Barron's tech blogger Tiernan Ray.

    Yes, Ferragu is fully aware that Microsoft and Nokia will have shiny new smartphones to introduce during next week's Nokia World conference. Microsoft is willing to throw billions into its pursuit of Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL ) and Google (Nasdaq: GOOG ) , but Ferragu simply points to the lack of consumer interest in Microsoft's mobile operating system over the years.

    He has a point, but what about the reason Nokia rallied earlier this week? Once Apple emerged victorious against Samsung over the weekend, many interpreted that outcome as a setback for Android and an opportunity for Windows Phone.

    It's also risky to bet against Nokia at this point. The fallen legend may be poor in prospects, but it's rich in cash. Nokia was essentially trading for its net cash position when it bottomed out last summer. As bad as things might get, Nokia has enough money to keep trying until it gets it right.

    Things aren't pretty for Nokia now. Revenue is declining. Nokia posted back-to-back quarterly losses to start the year, and analysts see more of the same until next year. However, it's hard to bet against a company that is still globally influential -- not to mention its even wealthier software partner -- ahead of next week's news.

    Nokia will never be the company that it used to be, but it's not priced that way, either.

    Nokia (NYSE: NOK [FREE Stock Trend Analysis]) has published a teaser video on YouTube announcing that "Things are about to change on 5 September 2012."

    The company is holding a massive press event on September 5, just one week ahead of Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) long-awaited fall conference. During Apple's event, the tech giant is expected to unveil the iPhone 5.

    The video shows a woman in a red dress who is riding a bike along the road of what appears to be a shipyard. Boats, water and large containers from Transmar (a shipping company) can be seen in the background.

    During the video, the woman smiles, plays with her hair, and waves at the camera, almost as if she is flirting with the viewer. If there any clues to be found within the video they must be very well hidden because the choppy camera movement and unusual backdrop do not appear to reveal anything.

    Frederick Edwards, JimmyZeroL, and other YouTube users assume that the video is meant to tease a Windows Phone 8 device that features the innovative PureView technology, which uses a 41-megapixel lens to produce a 3X digital zoom. PureView differs from other cameras by allowing users to zoom without diminishing the quality of their photos.

    By bringing this technology to Windows Phone 8, Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) and Nokia would greatly benefit. First, this would give the Windows maker a powerful feature that cannot be found on any Android or iOS devices. Second, it would help Nokia expand the PureView brand, which is popular in the tech community (even Siri is a fan) but has yet to receive worldwide notoriety.

    Nokia may also be using this teaser to promote a new Windows 8 tablet. While the company has not confirmed that it is developing a tablet for the Windows platform (or any other platform for that matter), the company has been rumored to be building an iPad-killer since March -- the same month that the third-generation iPad was released.

    It is also possible that the teaser has nothing to do with smartphones or tablets. While it is unlikely that the company is developing its own version of Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Glasses (as one YouTube commenter speculated), there is a chance that Nokia could be working on a device in an entirely different category

    Ja, het was een mooie aanval, er zaten wat gezonde winstnemingen in en met zo'n negatief stuk duw je de twijfelaars ook nog overboord en toen ging het even snel. Zijn stuk rakelt alleen het verleden op en dat W8 niks wordt is wel heel erg subjectief.

    Mooi om te zien dat 2,30 als bodem voorlopig stand houdt.
    Vanaf hier weer langzaam omhoog. Zeker met de presentatie van volgende week.
