   Agresso wins Leeds Metropolitan University contract Bristol, England - September 26, 2001 Agresso, the UK’s leading provider of financial and business information management systems to the Higher Education sector, has won a major contract with Leeds Metropolitan University. The University has selected AGRESSO Business World to provide a campus-wide finance, project and procurement system and will also implement web-enabled modules for procurement, purchase cards and management information. Agresso won the contract from a shortlist of three after a very detailed evaluation. Key requirements included having a system which would give better integration of the central finance system with local desktop software and other central corporate systems. Empowering end users to service the University’s changing financial reporting needs in a managed, self-service environment was also crucial. In addition, the University is aiming to improve the efficiency of its business processes, such as e-procurement, through remote access and on-line workflows.
