   Galp, a Portuguese energy corporation, awarded Fugro a contract to conduct an environmental and geophysical survey offshore Namibia. Known for its remote location, challenging conditions and ultra-deep water, this site is key to future energy operations in the region. Fugro's advanced technology and expertise in marine geophysical and environmental surveys ensured efficient and accurate data collection, enabling Galp to make informed decisions for safe energy operations in the region.
   
   With fieldwork completed earlier this month, the survey reached depths of 2000 metres. The Fugro Venturer, a geophysical vessel, collected sediment samples for environmental and chemical analysis before an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) captured seabed video footage. Additionally, Fugro acquired in situ full ocean depth water profiles and water samples to measure the current biodiversity. The Geo-data collected through this survey will support the identification of potentially sensitive habitats, advance knowledge of remote seamounts, and contribute to informed project planning and resource management.
   
   Furthermore, the geophysical survey will provide insights into the underwater landscape, ensuring the safe movement and operation of offshore assets within the designated area.
   
   Rob Hawkins, Fugro’s Commercial Director for Africa said: “Our expertise in deep-water surveying and identifying protected habitats supports sustainable and efficient offshore energy developments while minimising negative impacts on the marine environment.    Goed verhaal. Wat mij opvalt zijn oa de hoge verwachtingen van de vrije kasstroom. Die wordt geprojecteerd op tussen de 6% en 9%. Als mijn berekeningen kloppen zou dat minimaal zo’n 20% hoger zijn dan de huidige vrije kasstroom (rond de 4%).

    Idd. Over heel 2023 gaat dat natuurlijk wat lager uitvallen. Ik denk tussen de 4 en de 4,5%.
    
    Edit: met een Free cash flow van 4,5% is 6% (ondergrens van de verwachte marge) 33% groter.

    Fugro presenteert doelen voor 2027

    (ABM FN-Dow Jones) Bodemonderzoeker Fugro heeft de doelstellingen voor 2027 vastgesteld op basis van een groeiende behoefte aan geo-data in de sectoren voor energie, water en infrastructuur. Dit maakte de onderneming dinsdag voorbeurs in een persbericht bekend in aanloop naar de beleggersdag die het vandaag organiseert.
    
    Fugro streeft in 2027 naar een EBIT-marge van 11 tot 15 procent, een vrije kasstroom van 6 tot 9 procent van de omzet en een rendement op geïnvesteerd kapitaal van meer dan 15 procent.
    
    De onderneming verwacht dit te kunnen realiseren door een omzetgroei van 2,1 miljard euro nu naar 3,0 tot 3,5 miljard euro in 2027 dankzij hogere volumes, prijsbeleid, operationele leverage, kostenbeheersing en een verbeterde mix met hogere marges en terugkerende omzet.
    
    De omzet uit hernieuwbare energie bedraagt nu 0,6 miljard euro, maar Fugro wil dit in 2027 op 1 miljard euro hebben staan, terwijl de CO2-uitstoot van de eigen schepen met 25 procent omlaag moet ten opzichte van 2020. Die reductie ligt nu op 16 procent.
    
    Daarnaast wil Fugro een sterke balans houden en jaarlijks dividend uitkeren met een schuldratio van minder dan 1,5. Halverwege 2023 lag deze ratio op 0,7.
    
    De pay-out ratio voor het dividend wil Fugro op 25 tot 45 procent van de nettowinst per jaar vastleggen. Het bedrijf wil de dividenduitkering van 0,40 euro per aandeel Fugro voor 2023 hervatten na instemming van de aandeelhoudersvergadering.
    
    Op investeringsniveau wil Fugro per jaar tot en met 2027 gemiddeld 200 tot 250 miljoen euro vrijmaken, waarvan 100 tot 150 miljoen voor groei.

    Fugro rekent op hoger bedrijfsresultaat op zee aan orders
    Fugro zoekt personeel, het aantal orders groeit.
    Bodemonderzoeker Fugro voorziet uit zijn orders komende jaren een ebit-marge of bedrijfsresultaat na afschrijvingen van 11 tot 15% te kunnen behalen, tegen nu 9,9%. Het concern zegt een rendement op het geïnvesteerde vermogen te behalen dat boven 15% uit zal komen.
    Dat meldt ceo Mark Heine dinsdag voorbeurs. In zijn vooruitblik tot 2027 op capital markets day meldt de marktleider in geodata-onderzoek een vrije kasstroom als percentage van de omzet van 6 tot 9% te realiseren.
    
    Op de analistendag constateert Fugro dat er, ondanks tegenwind voor de offshoresector door de hoge kosten en stijgende rente, toenemende behoefte is aan geodata in die energiesector, de infrastructuur en de watermarkt.
    
    Heine spreekt van ’aanzienlijke kansen' voor Fugro, dat veel verdient in windenergie offshore, zoals met onderzoek voor verankerde drijvende windmolens, maar nog altijd het meeste binnenhaalt in de olie- en gassector.
    
    Omzetgroei
    
    De bodemonderzoeker heeft vorig jaar dankzij de start van vele windparken zijn omzet met 15% zien toenemen tot €1,8 miljard bij €74 miljoen winst en een orderportefeuille van €1,4 miljard. Afgelopen kwartalen meldde het concern uit Leidschendam toename van orders voor bodem- en geodataonderzoek wereldwijd, hoewel energiebedrijven enkele grote groene projecten op zee hebben gepauzeerd. Zijn orderstroom steeg eind oktober met bijna 15% op jaarbasis.
    
    Het in 1962 door Kees Joustra opgerichte bedrijf versnelde zijn derdekwartaalomzet met 32,6% op jaarbasis tot €608,9 miljoen, tegen €480,2 miljoen in het tweede kwartaal, bij een vrijwel verdubbeld bedrijfsresultaat van €97,5 miljoen.
    
    In oktober kondigde Fugro de eerste dividenduitkering in negen bewogen jaren aan. Op basis van een sterke balans zegt Heine dat ook komende jaren dividend uitgekeerd wordt. In 2020 boekte Fugro nog verlies. Het bouwde zijn schuld af, deels met uitgifte van aandelen.
    
    Koopadviezen
    
    Dit jaar steeg de Fugro-koers met 41%. NN, ASR en Vanguard zijn de grootste aandeelhouders. De specialist in funderingstechniek en bodemmechanica met 10.000 werknemers behoort bij de kleinere aandelen tot de meest verhandelde aandelen in Nederland. KBC Securities heeft vrijdag het koersdoel voor Fugro verhoogd van €15 naar €22 bij een gehandhaafd koopadvies.
    
    Op het aandeel, dat een koers/winstverhouding van 12 heeft, staan acht louter koopadviezen van analisten uit.

    oude midterm target was volgens mij:

    -->dus doelstelling Fugro voor de EBIT marge 3% omhoog, en hun doel voor ROCE (minimaal) 1% omhoog

    Die had er al moeten zijn na de Q3 cijfers en de adviesverhogingen maar toen mocht het ook niet.
