   Is Google Maps trying to become a social network?
   
   Of course, Google has been operating under the assumption for a while now that people want to use Maps for reasons other than simply getting from point A to point B. Lately, the search giant has been adding tons of new features, including the ability to hail an Uber or Lyft ride from within the app, or to tell whether parking is difficult in a particular neighborhood.
   
   The ability to share lists of locations with friends and family, though, seems more like a Facebook move than a Google one, which raises an interesting question about how people use Google Maps
   
   Misschien moet TT maar (weer) eens in de denktank duiken om na te denken of er meer of andere layers wenselijk zijn die, het liefst op korte en lange termijn, bijdragen aan de omzet en nog belangrijker de winst.

   TT wordt itt Mobileye niet genoemd in het artikel over Lucid bij Electrek. Iemand daar een account? Die gasten van Electrek zijn doorgaans goed geïnformeerd dus misschien een idee om ze een aan te sporen een artikel aan TT te wijden. ;-)

Yesterday, Volkswagen (VW) signed a definitive agreement w/MBLY to implement a new navigation standard for autonomous driving starting in 2018. REM customer engagements are accelerating beyond VW as well: BMW will ramp with MBLY's Level 4 program using REM mapping technology, likewise with the Delphi partnership. Moreover, HERE maps would act as a customer for REM, utilizing it as a HD layer with their navigational maps. Japanese mapmaker, Zenrin is working with MBLY and an unnamed Japanese OEM to map all of the highways in Japan by 2018."
    
    De enige die nog ontbreekt in het rijtje partners van MBLY is TT. HERE en Zenrin doen al zaken met MBLY.

    SEDG door het dak after hours :-( te vroeg verkocht maar winst is winst.
    
    Dat was het voor vandaag en deze week.......succes deze week en hopelijk vrijdag weer boven m'n gemiddelde van 7,90 en volgende week verder up.

    Lees net dat de Carver, waar ik in 2009 in reed nu ook eindelijk kan vliegen. Ding was destijds 60.000 en zag ik voor het eerst bij Adams Family (ja de ex van Paay reed ook in zo'n ding). Kennis was destijds bezig met patenten over te nemen van de zoons van de overleden uitvinder die het file probleem wilde oplossen door van 1 rijbaan 2 rijbanen te maken en smalle auto's (2 zitters) op de markt te brengen die niet omvallen in de bocht. Zie de reactie van de gasten van Top Gear nog voor me. Helaas is 'm dat niet gelukt maar mooi dat Carver geen stille dood gestorven is. Mooi ontwikkeling waar NL trots op mag zijn.

    Inderdaad, tegenwoordig doet iedereen het met iedereen.
    Er zijn geen exclusieve contracten denk ik.

    door alle commotie ging gisteren het mooie nieuws bij een mogelijk aanstaande deal tussen PSA en GM wat verloren, confirmatie is een boost voor TT.
    
    het gaat zelfs nog een stapje verder, want Fiat zoekt toenadering tot GM en zouden bereid zijn ver te gaan ( equity swap - merger) , concurrentie in de auto industrie is snoeihard.
    
    GM Heeft al eens een investering in PSA gedaan, die later teruggedraaid is, maar de gedachte voor sharing/samenwerken is niet weg.
    
    mocht zich een Kongsi vormen Fiat/GM/PSA zou dit een mega plus zijn voor TT
    
    @ Harry, consumer - voor mij hebben ze bij TT geen keuze en is het een kwestie van wanneer en hoe splitsen we het uit de groep, als zelfs je huis-bankiers zich afvragen " is het niet beter consumer te laten gaan " , als je de vernedering steeds moet lezen dat men in ieder rapport de waarde van dat onderdeel op nul zet, dat gaat toch wegen op je stemming en humeur, ook binnen de toko.
