CEO Harold Goddijn told Reuters. The CEO said the company has
the potential to grow sales at more than 20 percent per year for the next five years, without acquisitions. The CEO said the company’s recent turnaround is based on an overhaul of its digital mapping architecture. He said carmakers are now betting on TomTom as one of the few companies besides Google capable of providing location data good enough and fast enough to meet the safety requirements for computer assisted driving -- and ultimately, self-driving cars. TomTom has also
diversified , with consumer product offerings expanded to include fitness watches and a line of GoPro style action cameras. The company has also been building up its telematics business, providing telecom systems for car fleet management.
