Toyota, Ford, BMW, Qoros, Delphi, Volvo Cars, Nissan, Harman, Renault, IAV en sindskort ook de Volkswagen Group gaan werken met Azure/Microsft CVP.
The Volkswagen Automotive Cloud will be created from scratch, powered by Mirosoft’s Azure cloud and IoT Edge platform. Microsoft cloud services such as Azure IoT, PowerBI and Skype will be at the forefront of the user experience, which include telematics and productivity solutions.
In turn, thanks to its own dedicated cloud, Volkswagen will be able to leverage consistent mobility services across its entire brand portfolio. Ze werken omtrent locatie wel samen met Azure iig.
De bouwstenen van Microsoft's Connected Vehicle bestaan uit;

- connected advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS),
- and customer insights and engagement.
Microsoft zit ook in Baidu's Apollo platform.

Of het daarvoor de Telematics know-how en advanced navigation en ADAS technologie van TomTom moet bezitten weet ik niet. Ze kunnen er ook voor kiezen om meerdere leveranciers van deze technologie binnen te laten in hun platform.
