Hey, I remember Brus commenting on how Crucell had offers of partnering with large pharmas for Malaria and TB...but Brus, in his uncanny ability to do the wrong thing...turned them down. And bragged about it.
Talked about how he could have "done the deal and made the share price go up"(listen to the AGM, he lays out the master plan then), but he wanted to add shareholder value by having Crucell do these projects by themselves. Working pretty well so far! Let's see, Malaria out of phase I by 2010, meanwhile GSK will probably be marketing a Malaria vaccine by the time Crucell is out of Phase I.
Don't you remember at the beginning of last year Brus talking of getting a partner for TB and Malaria by the end of this year? "Oh stop", you say,"You can't hold Brus responsible for something he says!"
While I agree that other factors may be in play with the depressed price, Crucell is being taken out and shot with the gun Brus gave to them. It is time to get rid of Brus, he is an anchor, an albatross, a curse, a dead weight, a broken mirror, a black cat crossing back and forth in the path of Crucell.
